Analysing


Definition: Dividing multimodal texts, texts and concepts into parts. Students then compare and contrast these concepts or ideas to allowing them to develop a deeper understanding of the the overall structure and purpose of the task.

Verbs to describe Analysing:Comparing, organising, deconstructing, attributing, outlining, structuring, intergrating. (Anderson and Krathwohl)
Technology verbs:Comparing, organising, deconstructing, attributing, outlining, structuring, integrating, mashing (refer to glossary), linking, reversing,cracking, media-cliping and mind mapping (Churches, 2009).


These tools could be also relevant to other parts of Bloom's Revised Taxonomy. The activity you assign with these Web 2.0 tools has a huge impact on what verb the Web 2.0 tool comes under.
